KEYMASTER G3 Repair Encrypted Jaguar Airbag ECU Crash Data via JTAG

OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3

This guide demonstrates how to repair a Jaguar Airbag ECU equipped with the R7F7010643 chip using KEYMASTER G3.

Required Equipment

 

Before performing any operation, make sure X300 Classic G3 has been updated to the latest software version.

1. Enter the Airbag Reset Function
Open the software and navigate to [Crash Reset] → [AIRBAG RESET] → [SRS]

Search for the corresponding Jaguar airbag module, then tap [Start].

Choose JTAG as the operating mode.

If necessary, open the [Guide] section to review wiring instructions, adapter information, and operation notes.

2. Connect the ECU
Open [Connector Pinout] and connect the ECU according to the wiring diagram.

Once connected, read the ECU information to verify the correct part number.

Next, read the DTCs.

At this stage, the system will detect that crash data is stored inside the airbag module.

Attempting to erase the DTC directly will fail because the crash record is still present.

3. Enter JTAG Crash Data Repair
Select [Erase Crash (JTAG)].

Open [PCB Pinout] and remove the ECU cover.

Solder the required wires according to the PCB wiring diagram.

Reconnect the ECU and return to the previous menu.

4. Back Up the Original Data
Before making any modifications, read and save the complete ECU data.

Creating a backup allows the original file to be restored if necessary.

5. Erase Crash Data
After confirming the backup has been completed, select [Erase Crash].

Tap [Start] and follow the on-screen instructions.

When prompted, select the previously saved data file.

KEYMASTER G3 will automatically repair the crash information inside the module.

Once finished, the software will display a successful operation message.

6. Verify the Repair
Reconnect the jumpers as instructed.

Return to the diagnostic menu and select [Erase DTC].

The fault codes should now clear successfully.

Finally, read the DTCs again to verify that the crash record has been completely removed.

The Jaguar SRS module is now repaired and ready for reinstallation.
