This post shows how to perform clutch initialization learning on a 2020 Honda ADV750 using the MotoMaster scanner with the M041 dedicated cable. This procedure is essential for restoring clutch function after repairs, battery replacement, or ECU-related issues on Honda ADV models.
What you need:
OBDSTAR MotoMaster
Main cable
M041 dedicated cable
Steps:
Connect M041 cable to diagnostic port.
Ignition ON → [MOTO Diag] → [Honda] → [Auto Scan].
Go to [Special Functions] → [Clutch Initialize Learning].
Engine OFF, Neutral gear.
When “Is the shift indicator ‘L’ on?” appears → Tap [Cancel].
Within 10s: Ignition OFF → ON → Start engine.
Wait for “L” and dash symbol to disappear → Tap [OK].
Ignition OFF within 10s → Tap [OK].
“Inspection finished” = success!
