This guide explains the two OBDSTAR standard wiring methods shown in the guide
- Dedicated Harness – recommended for a simpler and more convenient setup
- Bench Jumper Wires – an alternative connection method
Both methods can be used with ECU MASTER, KEYMASTER G3, and DC706, depending on the required setup and accessories.
1. ECU MASTER Dedicated Harness Connection
The dedicated harness is the recommended method because it simplifies the bench connection.
Required Accessories
- ECU MASTER
- USB cable
- OBDSTAR Bench DV1 adapter harness
- OBDSTAR ECM-003 dedicated harness
Connection Steps
ECU MASTER C3 port → Bench DV1 Adapter Harness → ECM-003 Dedicated Harness → Power Supply

2. ECU MASTER Bench Jumper Wire Connection
If a dedicated harness is not available, the ECU MASTER can also be connected using bench jumper wires.
Required Accessories
- ECU MASTER OBDSTAR
- USB cable
- 3-in-1 jumper
- OBDSTAR Bench jumper wires
- Regulated power supply
The wiring sequence is ECU MASTER C3 port → Bench Jumper Wires → Power Supply

3. KEYMASTER G3 and DC76 Wiring
The KEYMASTER G3 and DC76 use the same basic accessory and wiring arrangement shown.
The dedicated harness includes
- ECM-003 dedicated harness
- OBDSTAR Main cable
- MP001 programmer
- Adapter connector or P004 adapter
- Regulated power supply
Dedicated Harness Connection
First connect the main cable to the C1 port of the MP001 programmer.
Then connect MP001 C1 port → Adapter Connector / P004 Adapter → ECM3 Dedicated Harness

Finally, connect the required power supply.
4. KEYMASTER G3 / DC76 Jumper Wire Setup
- Main cable
- MP001 programmer
- 3-in-1 jumper
- Bench jumper wires
- Regulated power supply
The connection is Main Cable → MP001 C1 Port
Then MP001 C2 Port → Bench Jumper Wires

Connect the appropriate power supply according to the wiring diagram before starting the bench unlock operation.
5. Dedicated Harness vs. Bench Jumper Wires
| Connection Method | Main Advantage | Setup |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated Harness | Easier and more convenient | Plug-and-connect harness system |
| Bench Jumper Wires | Alternative when a dedicated harness is unavailable | Requires manual wiring |
The latest B48/B58 bench unlock solution makes it possible to unlock supported ECUs without opening the ECU, while both dedicated-harness and jumper-wire setups provide flexible connection options for technicians using OBDSTAR ECU MASTER, OBDSTAR G3, or OBDSTAR DC76.
