How to Fix OBDSTAR G3 Communication Interrupted

This guide demonstrates how to recover Ford, Mazda, Jaguar, and Land Rover vehicles when communication is interrupted during IMMO programming with OBDSTAR G3. A practical troubleshooting guide for locksmiths.

What Happens?
When using OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 for IMMO programming, communication with the vehicle may stop after the key information has been read successfully, include:

The engine keeps running
The instrument cluster turns black

The Start/Stop button or ignition switch cannot turn the engine off

This is generally a temporary communication issue rather than a fault with the immobilizer.

How to Recover the Vehicle
Start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.

If the engine continues running, disconnect the fuse box connector to completely cut power. Once the engine stops, reconnect the fuse box and battery.

If the vehicle does not start immediately after reconnection, disconnect the negative battery terminal once more, reconnect it, and try starting the engine again.

In most cases, the system will recover and the vehicle will return to normal operation.
