OBDSTAR G3 Clones KTM MG1CA094 ECU

In this test, we used OBDSTAR G3 together with MP001 programmer to complete a full KTM MG1CA094 ECU cloning job safely on the bench.

Enter Motorcycle ECU Flasher Function
Inside OBDSTAR G3 software, we entered the ECU Flasher menu and selected Motorcycle ECM.

After choosing the KTM brand, the software automatically listed the supported Bosch MG1CA094 ECU type. Before connecting the module, the built-in pinout guide was opened to verify the wiring layout and power connections.

1. Wiring the ECU in BENCH Mode
The ECU was connected according to the MP001 BENCH wiring diagram shown by the software.

At this stage, stable power supply is extremely important. A regulated 12V power source was connected before communication started. After confirming all wiring positions, the system successfully connected to the ECU.

Unlike traditional ECU opening methods, BENCH mode allows direct communication with the control module while keeping the ECU housing fully sealed.

2. Reading Original ECU Data
Once communication was established, the original ECU data was backed up completely.
First, the FLASH file was read and saved.

Then the EEPROM data was also read and stored separately.

These files contain all the important information from the original ECU, including immobilizer and operating data required for cloning.

Keeping full backups before writing is always recommended in case recovery is needed later.

3. Writing Data into the Replacement ECU
After the original data backup was completed, the damaged ECU was disconnected and the replacement ECU was connected to the system.

The saved FLASH file was loaded into the software and written into the new ECU first. After FLASH writing completed successfully, the EEPROM data was also written into the replacement module.

With both files transferred successfully, the replacement ECU now carried the same operating data as the original unit.

4. BENCH Cloning Makes the ECU Plug-and-Play
After installation back into the motorcycle, the cloned ECU can work directly with the vehicle. In most cases, technicians only need to clear historical fault codes before starting the engine again.

For highly sealed Bosch MG1 motorcycle ECUs, OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 BENCH mode provides a much safer and more professional cloning solution without the risks of opening the ECU housing manually.
